Privacy Policy

Shuno FM ("we", "us", "our") provides 15-minute audio summaries of books through our mobile app and website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information: your name and email address when you sign up or check out. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account.

Payment information: when you purchase a plan, our payment partner bKash processes your payment directly — we never receive or store your card, wallet PIN, or full payment credentials, only the transaction result.

Usage information: listening history, playback progress, saved and downloaded titles, and app preferences.

Device information: device type, OS version, app version, and a device identifier we generate to manage which devices are signed in to your account and to enforce single-device playback.

Push notification information: if you enable notifications, we store your device's push token so we can deliver notifications about your account and new content.

Crash and error diagnostics: technical details about app crashes and errors, used to fix bugs and keep the app stable.

We use your information to create and secure your account, unlock content you've purchased, sync your listening progress and library across devices, send purchase confirmations, access instructions, and notifications, manage signed-in devices and playback, and improve app performance, stability, and content recommendations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run Shuno FM: Supabase (authentication and database), Cloudflare R2 (audio and image storage), bKash (payment processing), Google (sign-in, if you choose to use it), Expo (push notification delivery), Sentry (crash and error reporting), and Meta (advertising measurement, website only — see "Cookies" below). Each provider only receives the information needed to perform its function.

We take the security of your information seriously and store it safely with trusted providers. Your audio content is always kept private to your account — nobody else can access what you're listening to. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we work hard to keep your information protected.

You can review and update your profile information from the app's Settings → Profile at any time. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your listening history, saved titles, downloads, and profile — this action cannot be undone.

Shuno FM is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our website uses essential cookies to keep checkout and login sessions working correctly. We also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure how well our advertising works. This means we share a limited record of your visit and, when you buy a membership, of that purchase with Meta. Contact details such as your email address and phone number are only ever shared in an irreversibly encrypted (hashed) form, which Meta uses to match the purchase to an advert without ever receiving the details themselves.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date on this page.
